Pensole x Toronto Raptors 2023
5 Week Graphic Design Masterclass
Role: Lead Instructor & Facilitator

I recently had the opportunity to work with Pensole Lewis College to lead a masterclass in collaboration with the Toronto Raptors. The goal was to select 7 participants from diverse backgrounds to design the team's next social impact-centered warm-up kit.
The program, led by the Pensole team, aimed to make design more accessible to minority communities. Throughout the workshop, the participants shared their authentic stories and worked hard to develop professional presentations, which they later pitched to a large audience from various organizations.
As a result of the masterclass, two of the students went on to represent the Raptors in the NBA HBCU Fellowship program for two consecutive years and were offered internships with the Raptors organization. It was an inspiring and rewarding.

PAGE Innovation Workshop 2016
8 Week-Ends
Role: Mentor & Facilitator

In 2016, I had the opportunity to help conduct a design innovation workshop for highschool students at PAGE Institute in Hyderabad, India.
This was a first-of-a-kind creative workshop for the institute primarily focusing on traditional disciplines like engineering, architecture, and medicine. We shared with the students our philosophy that design thinking can be applied to various aspects of life and many professions.
The students worked in groups, each focusing on a mutual problem they experienced and would like to improve. They learned new tools like mind mapping, on-field research, insight discovery, and others.
The final presentation was made to the IT minister of the state and a large audience filled with their parents and teachers.

I've had the privilege of running workshops that have significantly impacted my creative path.
Collaboration has become a defining aspect of my process. I firmly believe that design is a tool for change, capable of influencing people in deep, meaningful ways.
